TREsemme NATURALS NOURISHING MOISTURE CONDITIONER

Image
It`s been a while since I last wrote a review, so here I am!  Today I`m gonna talk about TREsemme NATURALS NOURISHING MOISTURE CONDITIONER.  If you have natural hair, you probably already heard about this product. I found it last Saturday at Superdrug, but I`m sure that you can found  it also at Boots. I paid it £2.50 for 750ml and I think is a fair price. As the label says "TREsemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner with certified organic aloe vera and avocado extracts, moisturises your hair for protection against damage and breakage. Our silicone free formula for lightweight conditioning, infuses hair with moisture for hair that`s noticeably more manageable and moisturised. Discover 10x stronger hair after just one use. Formulated without parabens and also hypoallergenic, it is suitable for sensitive skin and gentle enough for use on colour treated hair." It has a light consistency and the smell is quite pleasurable. I generally apply it  on damp hair and leave it on for…

THE VERSATILE BLOGGER AWARD

Image
How`s your day? Mine is fantastic!  I`ve been nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award!!! I have to thank Jen Nurick from The Boon Report for nominating me! I`m enthusiastic and so grateful that my work is appreciated!
This was M.G.’s definition of the award: A mutual admiration society where bloggers recognize their peers for writing quality blogs that touched them in some way. The VBAs honor the blogger rather than specific posts. It’s a chance for bloggers to pat themselves on the back like the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences does with the Oscars. Until someone starts giving out Blogscars, the VBAs will have to suffice.
There are 3 rules:
1. Thank the person that nominated you, and give them a shout out on your blog with a link to theirs.
2. Share 7 random facts about yourself.
3. Send on the award to 15 other boggers whose blog you love and appreciate and then let them know they won the award.

7 things about me:
1- I have two sisters and one brother  2- I want everybo…

DAY & NIGHT

Image
Hello girls! This week  was a little bit stressful for me, but finally weekend is near so I can`t complain!! In this post I want to share two looks that are perfect for those of you who still wear TWA (Teeny Weeny Afro) or if you love wearing an afro bush. I miss my TWA period a little bit, you know? The good news is that I have natural curly hair and, if I`m looking for short hair, the only thing that I have to do is..not doing anything!  Shrinkage is a bitch, but if you`re looking for a short hairstyle, is gonna be your best friend.
Below you`re gonna find two versions for the short hairstyle: the first one for the day and the second one for the night.
Ciao ragazze!

REVISITING THE MOHAWK

Image
Hello sweeties! This time I want to show you a different way to wear a mohawk.  As you may know, a mohawk (or mohican haircut) is an hairstyle when you shave your sides and you leave just a strip of hair in the center of the head from the forehead to the nape. Today I made a curly faux hawk (or frohawk), a really similar mohawk where you don`t have to shave your sides and the hair down the center of the head is curly. This is a perfect hairstyle for me because my sides are safe and I have a lift up face effect because of the side braids.  If you want to know how to achieve the curly faux hawk, keep reading!
Ciao dolcezze!

HOMEMADE SCRUB RESULTS

Image
Ciao ragazze!
Hi girls! How is your week going?? I`m here with a blanket on my knees, a huge steaming tea cup and a Kleenex box next to me. Yes, I have the flu and my head is killing…

DIY SUGAR, LEMON & HONEY FACIAL SCRUB

Image
by debcll

Today I want to quickly share with you a facial scrub that I tried this morning and I`m pretty excited about the results. It`s really simple and the only ingredients are sugar, lemon and honey. If you remember, I already used lemon and sugar to do a sugar wax (you can check it here), but today I used them in a different way. But why I chose these particular ingredients?  The small particles of the sugar help to remove the dead surface skin cells. Honey contains powerful antioxidants with antiseptic and antibacterial properties that help get rid of skin disease such as pimples and acne. It also moisturise the skin, prevent infections and ageing. And lemon? The lemon juice is full of healthy vitamins and contains citric acid. It`s going to gentle exfoliate and brighten your skin (let`s get rid of the dark upper lip zone once and for all!!), helping also fight wrinkles.  For my scrub I just had to use two tablespoon of brown sugar, one tablespoon of honey and half tablespoon of …

HEAD SCARF TIME!

Image
Choose an head scarf. I used my favourite one, that is also a gift from my big sister Comfort. (measures are 90x90 cm)

Fold the scarf in a triangle like the picture above.

I already secured my hair in the back with bobby pins and braided the sides, leaving just the upper part out.

Take the scarf, put it in the back of your head, bring it around and tie it in the upper part. You can leave the ears in or out: your choice!

To my clean and damp hair I applied few drops of argan oil and shea butter to help sealing my bantu knots.

The detail of this hairstyle? On one side of your head, wrap up the strands of hair and secure the end with bobby pins.

HOW TO TRIM YOUR NATURAL CURLY HAIR

Image
Here I am! Days ago I cut my naturally curly hair by myself and I talked about it here; I also promised you to write a post about the other methods, so here it is! I hope it can be helpful, girls!

1- STARTING WITH BRAIDS OR TWISTS SPUNTARE TRECCE O TWISTS
First thing to do is take a section of hair, brush or run your fingers through it to stretch the hair and twist (or braid) it. Keep using this procedure for the rest of your head. Now is time to cut! Take your shear and cut 1/4 or 1/2 inch of hair tips from every twist or braid et voila`! I think this is a time-saving method because is quick and get the job done but, on the other side, you`re gonna cut damaged and non-damaged hair, so think about it twice if you want to k…
